Lost Mines of Phandelver
The Dwarven Patron and Skilled Miner
Gundren wears the garb of a miner which consist of heavy boots and heavy woven fabric. He smells of the earth and rock he handles so regularly. When he removes his oil fueled miners headlamp to scratch his balding head, you approximate he is of considerable age. His beard, though it would be considered well kept by any other race, is less than impressive among most other dwarves. Judging by his build and behavior he appears to be of reasonable vitality and strength among common dwarves, but is less than ideal for a warrior or soldiers role. He has a large miner’s pick around his belt and caries smaller picks and hammers strapped in a toolkit bag, common to his trade. When he moves, he appears slightly cumbersome and far from graceful.
Those who know Gundren would describe him as fair, devoted, gruff, and good hearted. He is being intentionally tight lipped about his urgent business in Phandalin, but you get the impression whatever his affair, it is of the utmost importance to him.
